Annie: A Heart-Shaped Gemstone Pattern
MJ Kinman's third quilt pattern in the Diamond Divas series is here! "Annie" is a heart-shaped, brilliant-cut gem pattern that finishes to a sparkling 56" square quilt with the addition of the border. MJ designed "Annie" in four colorways: Aquamarine, Rubellite, Peridot, and the Purple Heart colorway. MJ's inspiration for the name of her new pattern is the first woman to receive the US Purple Heart medal in 1942. US Army Lt. Annie G. Fox was awarded the Purple Heart in honor of her brave service during the bombing of Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. This pattern includes a freezer paper pattern to cut apart and a regular paper pattern to use as a key. The pattern also includes full step-by-step instructions on how to piece it together. MJ refers to this as the "Piece Plan". "Annie" is perfect for the Intermediate or Confident Beginner quiltmaker. Freezer paper piecing is not typical paper piecing. There is no need to sew fabric to a paper foundation. Templates are ironed to the RIGHT side of fabric, so there is no confusing reverse piecing. Templates are easily removed, so there are no paper bits to pull from the back of the quilt. Create your own dazzling gemstone quilt with MJ's new Diamond Diva pattern!
